February 27, 2010 - Wellington Commemoration
On Saturday, February 27, 2010 Skykomish Historical Society will host a Commemorative Event for the 100 year anniversary of the Wellington Avalanche.
The Event will be held in the Skykomish School at 1:00 pm.
Speakers at the program will include Gary Krist, author of "The White Cascade" and Martin Burwash, author of "Vis Major" and other railroad related books.
Other authors and local historians are also expected to be part of the program, and there will be related displays as well.
Skykomish Historical Society 2010 Calendar
The 2010 SHS Calendar is dedicated to the story of Wellington and the Avalanche.
Members will be receiving their free calendar in December.
Additional Calendars will cost members - $8.00 at Museum or $9.00 to mail.
Calendar cost to non-members - $11.00 ″includes postage″
